- General Counsel
NCPA is seeking an experienced general counsel for immediate start to manage and provide advice for all legal matters related to the association. Desirable candidate must have excellent communication and collaborative skills, organizational skills, be self-motivated, and be open to new ideas, with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Candidate will work directly under the supervision of the CEO of the association. Responsibilities include the following: advise on contracts, mergers and acquisitions, business law, information technology, and licensing; identify, engage and manage outside legal resources when appropriate; provide guidance in the development of new business initiatives and troubleshooting issues pertaining to the implementation of new business; responsible for reviewing forms and filings and providing advice on governance and disclosure matters; ensure that the association is in compliance with their constitution and by-laws; handling ad hoc legal projects as assigned; have the ability to work effectively with the association management and within diverse community pharmacy environments.
The ideal candidate should have ten years experience acting as a general counsel and hold a Juris Doctor degree. Candidate must be willing to relocate to the Washington, D.C. area. Experience to entrepreneurial environment desirable. Exposure to non-profit association a plus. Some travel is required. Excellent benefits; salary commensurate with experience.
- Associate Director of Student and Management Affairs
NCPA is seeking a qualified candidate for Associate Director of Student and Management Affairs. This position will interact with pharmacy schools and pharmacy students by directing all of NCPA's student activities. The associate director will work closely with the NCPA Foundation in its student-related activities. Additionally, this position will assist in the development of educational and management programs and will liaison with other professional organizations. Travel is required.
The ideal candidate should have excellent presentation skills, strong oral communication and writing skills, as well as having the ability to prioritize and accomplish multiple diverse projects. Pharmacy degree is preferred but not required.
