    Pharmacy Value Alliance(PVA) Educational Programs

      The Pharmacy Value Alliance is a coalition of research-based pharmaceutical companies and community pharmacy organizations brought together to produce a "dual-value" message: one which raises public awareness of the value of medication and at the same time, demonstrates the important role of the community pharmacist in maximizing the effectiveness of medication therapy.

      Pharmacists in general are more accessible, more approachable, and more aware of common health concerns within a community and among their patients. As a result, a Harris Interactive poll conducted in 2008 found that 80% of consumers would purchase an over-the-counter (OTC) product if it were recommended by their pharmacist.
