NCPA Foundation Scholarships and Student Loans—Applications Due on March 15, 2011
The National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) Foundation is pleased to announce the continuation of its Scholarship Program. Student members of NCPA are eligible to apply. The student must be enrolled in an accredited U.S. school/college of pharmacy on a full-time basis during the following terms: fall 2011 and spring 2012.

Neil Pruitt Sr. Memorial Scholarship for Entrepreneurism

NCPA Outstanding Student Member of the Year Award—Nominations Due on March 18, 2011
Nomination for NCPA Outstanding Student Member of the Year Award deadline is March 18, 2011. Please submit one recipient from your chapter to receive this award. Each active NCPA student chapter can nominate one member for this award. This individual must be an active member of NCPA who has contributed to the continued success of their NCPA student chapter. Each recipient will receive a certificate from the NCPA Foundation in recognition of this award. The application is available for download.
2011 NCPA Outstanding Faculty Liaison of the Year Award—Nominations Due on March 30, 2011
Let us help you recognize your NCPA Faculty Liaison at our Annual Convention in Nashville this October. This Award recognizes a faculty liaison who demonstrates exceptional leadership and commitment to independent pharmacy, his/her NCPA Student Chapter, and the community. The winner of this award will receive an engraved plaque, complimentary registration to the NCPA Annual Convention and Trade Exposition and a $1,000 contribution to the NCPA Foundation in award recipient's name. The Sharps Compliance, Inc. Scholarship Program Essay Contest—Due on April 30, 2011
Are you looking for additional scholarship opportunities? Sharps Compliance Inc. recently launch an essay contest for students in healthcare and related studies. Students are asked to describe the safe disposal measures they believe could have been taken to prevent a needle stick injury that happened in a real-life situation. The entry deadline is April 30, 2011 and winners will be announced May 31, 2011. First, second and third place prizes will be awarded at $1,500, $1,000, and $750 respectively. It's about that time again to start thinking about entering the Business Plan Competition! The Business Plan Competition helps young pharmacy entrepreneurs develop the blueprint necessary for buying an existing independent community pharmacy or developing a new pharmacy. You could also win a trip to the 2011 NCPA Annual Convention in Nashville, TN and the 2012 Multiple Locations Conference at the Westin Resort & Spa Los Cabos in Los Cabos, Mexico!
