Sixteen new Senators. Ninety-four new Representatives. A divided Congress. Health care reform law implementation. Yes, the political landscape has changed dramatically since NCPA's 2010 Legislative Conference. But some things remain the same: the importance of independent community pharmacists coming to the nation's capital to personally meet with their elected officials and key staff aides to discuss priorities for patients and pharmacists.

The 43rd Annual Conference on National Legislation and Government Affairs is set for May 23-25, and once again will be held in the conveniently located Hyatt Regency Washington. It is a short walk to the Senate office buildings, the Capitol, the Supreme Court, the Library of Congress, and Union Station with Amtrak, a Metro subway stop (the Red Line), restaurants, shops, and theaters. Come a couple of days early or extend your stay and soak up some history and culture at the many free museums and monuments.
