What led you to a career in independent community pharmacy?

I am a 3rd generation pharmacist in my still family owned independent pharmacy now celebrating 83 years.

What makes your pharmacy standout from the competition?

We still practice pharmacy the old fashioned way, We know all our customers. "Big enough to serve, small enough to care." We offer compounding, specialized medication packaging and medical equipment.

What are your biggest challenges?

The chains mass marketing and locations on every block. And a generation of people who forget what customer service really is.

Describe a recent, rewarding experience with a patient:

Provided specialized medicine packing and delivery for an elderly client whose daughter lives two states away. Providing peace of mind for her was great.

How has NCPA helped your business?

Just knowing that NCPA is out there fighting to help the small independents stay alive.
