The constant drumbeat in the press and inside the Beltway from politicians is that healthcare must become more efficient and cost effective, but the results are being delivered in cities and towns just like yours. More and more the need in today's market is that healthcare professionals work as teams to provide the best possible care to patients, while keeping costs down, such as improved care transitions and more robust medication management programs. This program will bring you experts in this new world, models for different markets and show you how the unique skills of the pharmacist are shaping their role. Hear from peers (many in rural areas) who had the vision of community pharmacists playing a new role in improving access to care and the leadership to mobilize community pharmacies to do so. Walk away with ideas that may work in your practice setting.
