Many changes in reimbursements, issues with Medicaid and Managed Care, and other restricted networks, are having a significant impact on the value of independent pharmacies. As a result, transitioning ownership, to a buyer, a family member, a junior partner or an employee has become a much more difficult task. These influences also impact those entities that often assist with financing these transactions. This presentation will provide current, real world updates on these issues and the process of selling a successful independent pharmacy for its fair market value.
