This session will provide an update on the Advocacy Center's current federal and state legislative and regulatory activities. At the federal level, we will discuss the status of current and other key legislative priorities. This session will also cover the status of key regulations impacting the practice of community pharmacy, including recent CMS, and FDA decisions. On the state front, we will focus on topics such as trends in pharmacy Medicaid reimbursement.
Pharmacist and Technician Learning Objectives:
- Identify current federal and state legislative and regulatory activities that affect community pharmacy.
- Discuss how efforts to regulate PBMs will increase transparency and the ability to negotiate with PBMs.
- Discuss NCPA's model state pharmacy legislation.
