NCPA Introduces Long-Term Care/Home Health Care Affiliate Program Alexandria, Virginia - November 04, 2003 A new program to benefit Long-Term Care/Home Health Care pharmacists and their staff was recently unveiled at the National Community Pharmacists Association's 105th Annual Convention and Trade Exposition in Seattle, Washington.
Benefits of the new Long-Term Care/Home Health Care (LTC/HHC) Affiliate Program include Internet-based services accessed through a members-only portion of NCPA's website www.ncpanet.org. They include:
1. “Alternate Site Pharmacist” from America’s Pharmacist magazine. This publication is a monthly update of long-term care and home health care pharmacy services, including federal regulatory issues.
2. Audio Teleconference Seminars. LTC/HHC Affiliates will be able to access the best sales, marketing, and customer service training. Presented by Dynamic Seminars, one person or an entire pharmacy staff can receive training on important reimbursement, billing, legal, and clinical issues for one low registration fee. PowerPoint handouts of the seminar can be downloaded from the NCPA website. The first audio teleconference selected is free to Affiliates.
3. Focus on Pharmacy Law Newsletter. Focus on Pharmacy Law is a quarterly newsletter with articles on statutory and regulatory issues facing long-term care/home health care market pharmacies, as well as pharmacy and employee law issues.
4. Additional Pharmacy Law Resources. LTC/HHC Affiliates will have access to a catalog of more than 200 monograph publications from the health care law division of Brown & Fortunato opining on current legal and regulatory issues geared to long-term care and home medical equipment pharmacy companies. All 200 monographs are free to LTC/HHC affiliates.
5. Online Employee Anytime Training. This benefit is provided by DMETRAIN, the leader in online training and testing for employees in the medical equipment industry. DMETRAIN provides comprehensive, cost-effective training services. The varied course list includes titles such as: Administrative Documentation, Business Ethics and Fraud Prevention, Introduction to Cultural Differences, Medical Terminology I, and Ambulation Products & Coverage.
