Store Visits

Virtual Pharmacy Visit

$ 1,800

Scheduling – Open

You should know in over 90% of the stores I have visited the result has been measured improvement without spending big dollars. However, your passion, commitment and elbow grease will be needed!

We will be looking at: retail pricing strategies, floor plan, category sizes, department placement, end cap merchandising, checkout, and non- traditional OTC departments. Examples: DME, school supplies, food and snacks, cards and or gifts.

What to expect:

You will be asked to take a series of digital photos of your store. (Yes, you can use your phone camera.) Step by step assistance will be provided so that no corner will be missed. The more photos you take the more complete assessment you will receive. You will be asked to upload all of the photos to a photo website.

Either electronically or by US mail (your choice) you will receive a packet of forms to fill out. These forms will be easy to complete and if you have any questions you will always have access to me by phone, email and/or fax. One of the forms will ask you to fill out examples of your retail OTC pricing.

You will be asked to provide a drawing of your store. You can find an example of a hand drawn floor plan by clicking here. The more detail you can provide the more precise I can be in providing an updated floor plan. You do not need to hire an engineer or an architect!

Email or call and tell me everything that is on your mind. Express your challenges, your frustrations, tout your success, share with me your past and paint me your future. I need to hear it all. Feel free to share any reports that you may have. The more you tell me, the more success we will have. I will have lots of questions for you. We will need to set up an initial phone conversation that may take up an hour of your time. Don’t worry, I take calls up to 9pm ET, and if necessary I can set weekend time aside for you.

Once we have talked and I have received all of the completed forms and looked at your photos, an incredibly methodic detailed assessment begins. Incredibly detailed? Yes, I owe it to you to be thorough. I will start from the parking lot; I will finish in your back room.

What will I be looking for? Ways to realistically improve your curbside presence. “Customers have to like you from the outside before they want to come inside.” (I may create digitally enhanced photos that will show a before and a potential after.) Looking at the inside, I’ll locate what I think are the most profitable spots in your store, then make recommendations on what should be found in them. I will take a close look at any merchandising opportunities that can be applied to your seasonal, candy & snack, gifts (I was a gift buyer and seller for 15 years), cards, school, home & office supply, checkout counters, (we can work on making your checkout counter a profit center), dollar department, and if you have them, toys and hobby sections.

I will make notes and recommendations for the sizes, inventory and position of your OTC departments. I’ll let you know what you may be missing and what you may want to cut back on in certain areas. I’ll compare a sample of your OTC retail pricing and most likely offer you new pricing strategies. I will tally your Private Label (PL) presence and share with you sign templates to promote your PL.

If applicable I will spend some time in assessing your Durable Medical Equipment area. With a few easy changes, we can transform your DME to a “Home, Comfort and Safety Center.”

What you get: A plan for profit; steps for increasing planned, impulse and companion sales; an easy-to-understand and incredibly detailed action list that not only tells you what must be done, but how to do it. You will get continuing help; I’ll be with you by phone, fax and/or email for the next 6 months. If needed, you will get a new floor plan. Soon you will be increasing turns on inventory, improving profitability and empowering your employees. Perhaps even a little of the stress from running a front end will disappear.

Note: If after the virtual assessment is completed and you would like to go one step further, a discount will be waiting for you if you choose to book an on-site visit.

One Day On-Site Visit   *Value Priced*

$ 2,100, (plus air, ground transportation, lodging (3 stars or better), meals for visit and travel days)

Scheduling – limited

One day visit with six months of follow up and support. We are in this together!

You should know in over 90% of the stores I have visited measured improvement has been made without spending big dollars. Oh, but you and your staff will be busy for a few weeks...

On arrival:

First - You tell me everything that is on your mind. Express your challenges, your frustrations, tout your success, share with me your past and paint me your future. I need to hear it all. Feel free to share any reports that you may have. The more you tell me, the more success we will have.

Second - I will have a lot of questions for you. Make sure you can get away from the bench for the first hour. We will talk more later.

Third - The incredibly methodic and detailed assessment begins. Incredibly detailed? Yes, I owe it to you to be thorough. I will start from the parking lot; I will finish in your back room.

What I will be looking for during the visit? Ways to realistically improve your curbside presence. “Customers have to like you from the outside before they want to come inside.” (I may create digitally enhanced photos that will show a before and a potential after.) Moving inside I’ll locate what I think is the most profitable spots in your store, then make recommendations on what should be found in them. I will take a close look at any merchandising opportunities that can be applied to your seasonal, candy & snacks, gifts (I was a gift buyer and seller for 15 years),cards, school, home && office supply, checkout counters, (we can work on making your checkout counter a profit center), dollar department, and if you have them, toys and hobby sections.

I will make notes and recommendations for the sizes, inventory and position of your OTC departments. I’ll let you know what you may be missing and what you may want to cut back on in certain areas. I’ll compare a sample of your OTC retail pricing and most likely offer you new pricing strategies. I will tally your Private Label (PL) presence and offer you sign templates to promote your PL. If time allows we can talk about the advantages of recognizing blind and price sensitive items.

I will spend some time in your Durable Medical Equipment area. With a few easy changes, we can transform your DME to a “Home, Comfort and Safety Center.”

Fourth - I will take anywhere from 40 to 100 photos of your store; I don’t want to miss a thing. I will make a rough drawing of your store, just in case you need to move a few things. I will use “report card” forms this way I’ll be sure not to miss a thing.

Fifth - We will talk some more! Before I leave, you will have a clear idea of what to expect.

Sixth - At my office I will review my notes, all the forms, and will painstakingly look at each of the photos taken in search of more opportunities.

What you get: A plan for profit; steps for increasing planned, impulse and companion sales; an easy-to-understand and incredibly detailed action list that not only tells you what must be done, but how to do it. You will have access to a special web page that will show you examples of what can be done, (photos can be a great help). You will get ongoing help - I’ll be with you by phone, fax and/or email for the next 6 months. If needed, you will get a new floor plan. Soon you will be increasing turns on inventory, improving profitability and empowering your employees. Perhaps even a little of the stress from running a front end will disappear.

Scheduling -- limited

Two day visit with six months of follow up and support. We are in this together!

In addition to all of the one day on-site visits, you will also receive:

One employee should be asked to stand by and help.

Eighth - One hour round table discussion on how to create compelling signs that sell product. This is a presentation with slides, examples and interaction with participants.

Ninth – One to two hours discussing a marketing plan and review of current media ads.

Tenth - One-on-one time with owner, manager and/or merchandisers.

Eleventh - At my office I will review my notes, all the forms, and will painstakingly look at each of the photos taken in search of more opportunities.
