New federal regulations on the sale of products containing pseudoephedrine took effect in April 2006 and additional ones will be effective September 30th, including logbook and behind-the-counter placement requirements. If your state has more stringent requirements, aimed at making it more difficult to produce methamphetamine, they remain in place.

As a reminder there are penalties of up to $25,000 and/or imprisonment for violating the new law, however, if your state has more stringent requirements, aimed at making it more difficult to produce methamphetamine, they remain in place.
