Denise Sutter is a 2013 PharmD candidate from Auburn University Harrison School of Pharmacy (HSOP). During her first year in the professional program Denise served as President-Elect of her NCPA Student Chapter and served as President the following year. She was also one of the team members who placed third in the 2010 NCPA Pruitt-Schutte Student Business Plan Competition. She is a proud member of Phi Lambda Sigma and is the current Student Council President of HSOP. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Georgia Institute of Technology located in Atlanta, GA. She participated in undergraduate research and has one journal article published along with another article in the final stages of publication.

Denise started working in a community pharmacy upon entering pharmacy school, and her interest in community practice has grown significantly through work experience and her involvement in NCPA. She hopes to own her own pharmacy one day and believes the best way to optimize patient therapy is through patient care. She is excited about serving as a NCPA Student Leadership Council member and believes this opportunity will not only teach her more about independent pharmacy practice, but will also allow her to share that knowledge with other pharmacy students who may not be aware of all the opportunities independent community practice has to offer.
