Ravi Davuluri received a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences with dual minors in Chemistry and Philosophy from Louisiana State University in 2006. He first discovered his passion for independent pharmacy during his 3.5 years of employment as a pharmacy tech at Dutchtown Pharmacy, where he realized the importance of having caring, meaningful, and personal relationships with his patients.. Ravi is currently in his third professional year in the Doctor of Pharmacy program at the University of Texas at Austin's College of Pharmacy. He has been very involved in his NCPA chapter serving as the Pharmacy Council Representative his first year, Legislative Chair and President-Elect his second year, and President his third year. He attended the NCPA Annual Convention in Philadelphia (2010) and Nashville (2011) and the Legislative Conference in Washington DC 2012. Ravi is also very active within the Texas Pharmacy Association. He has served as the statewide Student Patient Counseling Competition Coordinator during his first and second year and as a member of the executive committee of the TPA - Academy of Student Pharmacists during his second and third years. He attended the TPA Annual Convention in Ft. Worth (2011) and The Woodlands (2012), TPA Day at the Dome (Lobby Day) in Austin (2011), and the TPA Leadership and Advocacy Symposium in Austin (2012).
Through his positions in TPA and NCPA, Ravi has encouraged his classmates to get involved in advocacy by hosting events such as letter writing campaigns and legislative discussion panels. He is also an active member of and held leadership positions in APhA-ASP (Historian & TPA-ASP Director) and Phi Delta Chi Professional Pharmacy Fraternity (Historian & Worthy Alumni Liaison). He plans to be part of a team that will enter to the 2013 NCPA Pruitt-Schutte Student Business Plan Competition. Ravi enjoys having an entrepreneurial spirit and aspires to be a pharmacy owner where he can offer specialty services such as sterile/nonsterile compounding, veterinary compounding, disease state education workshops, immunizations, and medication therapy management to serve patients' diverse and changing needs. He looks forward to serving on the Student Leadership Council over the next two years and the many opportunities it will grant to lead students interested in independent pharmacy and to network
