Qualifications, Requirements, and Procedures

  Applicant Qualifications

The applicant must meet the following criteria to be considered for the summer internship:

  1. Enrollment in a full-time undergraduate pharmacy program in pursuit of a first professional pharmacy degree.
  2. A minimum of a 2.50 cumulative grade point average at an accredited U.S. college of pharmacy.
  3. A demonstrated interest in independent pharmacy practice, e.g. through school activities and work experience.
  4. Exhibit an interest in organizational involvement through participation in student organizations at college and/or in community organizations.

  Applicant Requirements

The applicant must meet the following criteria to be considered for the summer internship:

  1. A letter of application explaining your interest in the internship, your career goals, and how the internship will help you meet these goals.
  2. A resume or curriculum vitae.
  3. A school transcript to verify a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5.
  4. Two letters of recommendation, one from your pharmacy school dean and one from your state pharmacy association executive, current or recent employer, or NCPA Faculty Liaison.

  Application Procedures

To apply for the NCPA Summer Internship, the applicant must submit the following:

  1. A letter of application explaining your interest in the internship, your career goals, and how the internship will help you meet these goals.
  2. A resume or curriculum vitae.
  3. A school transcript to verify a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better.
  4. Two letters of recommendation, one from your pharmacy school dean and one from either your state pharmacy association executive, your current or recent employer, or your NCPA Faculty Liaison.
