Alexandria, Va. - Aug 13, 2012 NCPA members can now access the monthly magazine, America's Pharmacist online and via mobile devices with the newly launched digital edition at

"We're excited to launch this enhanced digital edition so that our members can read their favorite pharmacy magazine at their convenience," said NCPA President. Lonny Wilson, RPh. "As the world becomes more mobile and our members increasingly offer more patient services away from the counter, we want to be sure they can access America's Pharmacist anytime and anywhere."

The digital edition of America's Pharmacist, is also known as a dynamic, flash, or flip version. It is created from print PDFs, but contains standard active features including page flip, live editorial and advertiser website and email links, full screen view, and much more. The content is identical to the printed magazine, with a host of enhancements. In addition to those previously mentioned, they include navigation (contents, thumbnails, zoom, and pan), special page marker tabs that mimic physical bookmarks, drop-down menus displaying special content, and "sticky" notes. Add-ons can include embedded video and audio files, flash animation, margin ads, and e-cards

NCPA members will receive an email every month alerting them to go online and read the latest issue on their computer. The e-magazine also is available on many tablet devices using iOS and Android operating systems. Members can now choose to "go green" and receive access to the digital edition only when they click on the "Manage Your Subscription" feature on the site. NCPA student members, whose print copies of America's Pharmacist often get delayed or lost because of summer breaks and multiple address changes, will receive the digital edition exclusively starting in September.

There also is an easily searchable archive of the last 12 issues in PDF format on that same landing page. The complete archive, still under construction, will go back to 2005.
