ATI Allied Health introduces new Pharmacy Technician Training Package
ATI Allied Health, an Ascend Learning company, launched its new online Pharmacy Technician Training Package, one of the most in-depth pharmacy tech training solutions available today for pharmacy tech students, educators and employers.
The Pharmacy Technician Training Package is ideal for both the novice and experienced pharmacy tech preparing to work and/or take a certification exam. With assessments, deep-dive tutorials, innovative tools like "flash cards" and practice tests, the comprehensive package can augment a traditional pharmacy technician curriculum or be used as a stand-alone to fully prepare the student to become certified and/or begin working. And with an eye toward ensuring accountability and providing assistance when needed, the package enables educators and employers to track candidates' progress and follow up with remediation plans when needed.
"The collective goal for everyone—students, educators and employers—is heightened patient safety," said Gary Pederson, president of ATI Allied Health/National Healthcareer Association. "So, we are pleased to introduce a package that uses the most effective learning tools on the market to train technicians and make a positive impact on pharmacy care."
Developed by pharmacy and education experts, ATI Allied Health's training program uses the most innovative and enhanced learning techniques to engage students through animation, video and other interactive tools proven to assist their learning and knowledge retention. The use of this interactive and creative media accommodates different learning styles, increasing the chances of student success in comprehending and retaining pharmacy tech essentials, and leading to better patient safety.
The Pharmacy Technician Training Package content was developed with input from healthcare and education entities, employers and other pharmacy professionals to ensure it adheres to stringent quality standards and fully prepares students for the pharmacy tech world. The training program benefits educational institutions by increasing their ability to successfully place their graduates in jobs. Employers benefit from a better-trained, more safety-conscious employee, which can ultimately raise their standard of care.
This new training package works as a stand-alone training and remediation solution or in combination with the pharmacy technician certification exam (ExCPT) available through National Healthcareer Association (NHA), Ascend Learning's certification arm.
