NCPA Talks Pharmacist Provider Status with HHS

by NCPA | Sep 18, 2017

NCPA met last week with John Brooks, health policy counselor to Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price, to discuss the importance of pharmacist provider status along with other members of the Patient Access to Pharmacists' Care Coalition steering committee. Among topics discussed: the importance of patient access to rural pharmacy services, where often an independent pharmacy is the sole provider in a community. NCPA will continue to work with PAPCC members to urge passage of H.R. 592/S. 109, which now has 207 cosponsors in the House and 44 in the Senate.
