Happy Thanksgiving (or "Black Friday" or "Small Business Saturday" eve!) to each and every NCPA member and their families. During this special time of the year, I'd like to recognize and give thanks for the exceptional care that you provide for millions of patients across our nation. Each of you and your team members dedicate countless hours to help your patients live healthier lives.

As the end of the year comes into view, one rewarding way that you can provide a valuable service to your patients while bringing additional revenue to your pharmacy is to perform the medication therapy management interventions available to your pharmacy. There are tens of thousands of patients who will greatly benefit from the opportunity to receive these interventions as we approach the end of 2016.

Each year millions of dollars are left on the table by pharmacists who do not conduct their cases. These MTM cases may eventually be fulfilled by a call center or worse, not conducted at all, if you don't take advantage of the established relationship you have with your patients. Completing your MTM cases is also a star rating factor by CMS, which increasingly makes your pharmacy more valuable to payers.

Your patients already support you every time they walk in your doors.
