Mr. Osborn went to Washington ...
NCPA President Bill Osborn was at NCPA headquarters this week. While he was in town, he visited with a few community pharmacy champions on Capitol Hill. Along with Anne Cassity, NCPA’s vice president for federal and state government affairs, Osborn thanked pharmacy friends such as Sen. Shelly Moore Capito (R-W.Va.), pictured at center here with Osborn and Cassity. They also visited with Rep. Peter Welch (D-Vt.), Sen Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.), Rep. Morgan Griffin (R-Va.), Sen. James Lankford (R-Okla.), and Sen. Jon Tester (D-Mont.). These members of the House and Senate are among those representatives who consistently support measures to address the issues facing community pharmacy. Be sure to thank your state and federal representatives when they support your profession!

The next Congressional recess is a little more than a week away (May 25-June 2). With so much attention on drug prices, now is the time to invite your senator or member of Congress for a pharmacy visit. Especially if your member is new to Congress, this is a perfect opportunity to brief them on community pharmacy. Not sure how to proceed? We can help! Visit NCPA's pharmacy visits webpage or email Michael Rule TODAY for tips on arranging a visit.
