Erik Nelson is a 2013 PharmD candidate at Washington State University (WSU) as well as a 2013 MBA candidate at Eastern Washington University. He was the team captain for the 2010 first place team in the Good Neighbor Pharmacy NCPA Pruitt-Schutte Student Business Plan Competition and is the president of the WSU student NCPA chapter. Erik is also active with the Washington State Pharmacy Association, APhA and his local Spokane Pharmacy Association. He is very involved with independent pharmacy at his school even developing an elective class that brought in guest speakers from around the community to teach students who are interested in community pharmacy. Currently Erik works in an independent pharmacy in Spokane and his current plan is to purchase an independent pharmacy after graduation and implement new services that will reach out to multiple generations through a variety of avenues. He looks forward to remaining active and involved in the NCPA and the local associations after graduation and using his diverse work experience to help the pharmacy profession advance further.
