Director, Congressional Affairs

Alexandria healthcare association (close to King Street Metro) is seeking experienced candidates for Director of Congressional Affairs. Position will be reporting to the Senior Vice President, Government Affairs. Responsibilities include direct federal lobbying and developing and executing the association’s legislative priorities in Congress. The ideal candidate will have Congressional staff and/or lobbying experience, as well as health care policy experience. Pharmacy policy related experience is a plus. Additionally, candidate will be responsible for implementing strategies for PAC contributions. Candidate would be expected to register as a federal lobbyist and attend in town and out of town events on behalf of the organization’s PAC. Ideal candidate would live in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Hybrid schedule, in office T/W/Th, remote M/F during the winter, summer is in office T/Th and remote M/W/F.
