APC publishes documents on compounded ketamine, clinic direct billing, constructive transfer, peptide compounding

The Alliance for Pharmacy Compounding (APC) has published two documents aimed at helping pharmacy compounders utilize best practices for preparing and dispensing compounded ketamine by pharmacies and for clinic direct billing for patient-specific compounded medications by compounding pharmacies. Developed by a working group of APC member experts (whose rolls include NCPA members), the documents represent a conscientious effort to establish a baseline for care and compliance by compounding pharmacies. APC has also updated its “Briefing Paper on Constructive Transfer” and released a “Statement on Peptide Compounding,” which equip compounders to comply fully with current law and regulation.
